Board Meeting Minutes August 2014

MLHOA Meeting Minutes
Tuesday August 5, 2014: 306 Meadowglade Lane
  • In Attendance:  Ed Liebler, Rob Allen, Terry Dunham
  • At 7pm, Ed called the meeting to order
  • President Ed Liebler read the April minutes, which were previously approved via e-mail
  • Financial report for July and YTD was distributed and reviewed
  • Committee Reports:
  • Architecture Committee – Terry reported there were four (4) requests submitted, reviewed and approved by the committee since the April meeting; originals on file in the architecture committee binder
  • Landscaping Committee - Ed reported:
    • annual report due to City of Franklin by 7/1/2014 was completed and sent
      HOA has a dead cherry tree at the end of Meadowglade; Sunrise estimated $300 to replace; Motion made by Ed to approve expenditures for replacement; Rob seconded motion and was approved
      It was noted while mowing flood plain that what appears to be a 6-8” deep sinkhole has recently developed in the north field approximated 30 yards into the flood plain from the sidewalk spur.  Will continue to observe
      Ed is currently manually sealing cracks in the alleys; will send out an e-mail notification as needed
  • Social Committee – no report
  • Welcoming Committee – Chairperson Susie Beck requested additional members and Linda Allen and Jeannie Dick volunteered
  • Old Business:
  • Update by-laws with past amendments – completed and on record
  • Developing a “Contractor List” for resident’s reference – tabled until this winter timeframe
  •  Waterproof entrance brick wall and columns – estimate of $750 submitted by J.P. Woodford; currently seeking second estimate
  • New Business:
  • Terry volunteered to be interim secretary. Ed nominated Terry; seconded by Rob and approved
  • Gate latch and lockset for 1041 Lewisburg entrance gate (HOA responsibility) requires replacement; quote submitted by Curt Newby for $175; Motion made by Terry to approve monies for replacement; seconded by Ed and approved
  • With no other new business, Rob made a motion to adjourn, seconded by Terry; meeting adjourned at 8:15p
